The New Bethel Church of God in Christ (COGIC) is located at 1710 North 25th Street in the Near North Side neighborhood.
The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) is one of the oldest Black churches in Omaha. This building opened as the Church of Religion in 1936, and by 1943 the New Bethel Church was open.
A new basement was built for the New Bethel COGIC in 1961. After four years of worshiping there, in 1965 the new sanctuary was opened. The church continues operating today.
