The Swedish Mission Hospital was started by the Swedish Evangelical Church. Eventually becoming the Evangelical Covenant Hospital, it was located at N. 24th and Pratt from 1906 to 1938.

My Great-grandfather, James John Shaw, passed away at the Swedish Mission Hospital on September 5, 1920. He is buried at Omaha’s Forest Lawn Cemetery. I currently live in the Florence area of North Omaha.
